I met him once. I was awoken with sleep paralysis and I saw him in the corner of the room pointing at me. Just a shadow man. All I can do is form the name of Jesus on my lips until then I could take a little breath and I said Jesus outloud in a small whisper then it went away suddenly and I could move and talk again. Never saw him again, thank God

I’ve seen the hatted shadow man as a child and teenager. He was nice, sometimes he warmed me. No scary vibes. He was just there.

I saw this figure in 2015. I was 25. I woke up to the feeling of something nearby and it was standing directly beside my bed next to me “looking” down at me. No facial features, completely black. Of course I froze and it just stood there. I reached over to turn on my lamp and it was gone.

I have only seen this man one time and it was enough for me... I'm so glad i'm not the only one.. he literally scared me so bad that day i had to run out of the house and go down the street to my best friends house until my grandma made it home...I just remember a LAUGH and it wasn't from the TV and looking up and seeing the darkest shadow I have ever seen!! And the HAT!! through out life I would try and piece it together because apparently 3 men died in my grandmothers home...but no one ever knew anything about a hat and deep laugh from any of those men

I saw him when I was like 5 walking at night with my mom he was leaning on a light pole. One foot up tipped his hat at me. Now I always see him manifest in the shadows but never in his full form like that day.

It was in the corner and slowly came towards me I was in bed scared to move to even look away I pulled the sheets over me ready for it to grab me it should of but it was gone that was 1989. Wasn't until the internet came out then I found out I shared my experience with others about the HATMAN

I saw the Hatman when I was nine years old. I am 54 now. I didn’t even know who the Hatman was or had even had heard of him. This would’ve been in 1978 or 1979. There was no Internet, and I certainly had never heard of shadow people. I was wide awake. I was standing in the kitchen as I looked down the hallway, and on the far right side was a room. My mom used it as a sewing room. A man, completely black and wearing a wide brim hat stepped out into the hallway for about two or three seconds, then stepped back into the sewing room. Obviously it’s scared the hell out of me. I’m sure I even cried. As I grew up, I always called him the Hatman. I never told anybody about this incident. I figured nobody would believe me. I know most people see him during sleep paralysis. I was wide awake and walking around inside the kitchen.

One time I saw a big shadow in the woods outside my bedroom window and now I’m scared to sleep at night

The third story I found interesting. I always listen for the shadow stories. They are real, but, not talked about, enough. From 1983 to 1993, I saw different forms of manifestations, growing up on a pre Civil War farm in North Eastern Tennessee. The black shadows were only one of the manifestation I witnessed. They would move about outside as well as within the house itself. Their movements lead me to believe that there was purpose and motivation in what they were doing. On the property, there was a new barn and a very old barn that always gave me bad vibes. Later, I found out that a man had fallen head first into the cistron that sat right next to the old barn. He had passed, right their on that spot. They filled the cistron full of rocks after that incident. I played in that cistron, I was not aware. There were a number of deaths on the property. I was 10 years old in 1983 when we moved to that farm. The occurrences I witnessed are too numerous to retell here. I remember moonlit nights, when I would sneak out of my house, if I crouched down, be still and quiet, pay very close attention to my surroundings, I was guaranteed to see them. I guess I was fortunate to see these things or unfortunate. Hearing others tell their stories offers me comfort, at least, I wasn't the only one that saw them!

When I was younger the third night awake after a weekend binge of coke my mind was so unlocked I saw shadow people everywhere

I sat with one there not out to hurt people not good people I was fishing had a fire was falling asleep when I woke it was sitting there never spoke to me I was locked in fear it saired into my eyes my sole then got up sied then walked away my fear was gone like it picked me up and then decided to let me live😢

I saw the hat man in 1998 when I was 3 years old in broght daylight. I live in Europe so he wasn’t wearing a trench coat and had an old fashioned top hat instead of a fedora. Shortly after that my parents divorced. I got psychological problems until this day due to that divorce. It was the greatest catastrophe that happened. I am still suffering to this day and I am almost 30 now. I just feel unloved and was convinced that my family secretly hates me and just take care of me out of pure duty. I think the hat man is a harbinger of evil or maybe he isn’t evil at all and just maybe tries to warn us

My mother has seen the hat man through her whole child hood and told me alot of stories as i grew up i too seen him with my uncle my uncle was scared and turn over in fear but I was intrigued by its presence ive always wanted too see it and it finally appeared too me but me knowing what i know from my mothers stories and what i know metaphysical I got up and walked towards it too cut the light on and yes it was standing in the door way hall when i got up too cut the light on i had too walk towards it and as i walked towards it it left nothing was there i knew the light would make it leave and i wasnt going too go too sleep with it just standing there i know im a spiritual being too soo Im not afraid of other spirits like im not afraid of man

He was never scary to me when i was growing up. he always appeared at the same time at night in the house we lived in as a kids. arguably he was probably at our other house aswell. Hatman never did anything else then repeat the same routine at night

I don't not know that name from the movie moth man prophecies, not a great movie but I like it for some reason.

I've experienced sleep paralysis probably close to 500 times in my lifetime. Started in 7th grade. I've never seen the Hatman or the Old Hag but I've had numerous crazy experiences. Two stand out. 1. I feel asleep mid day watching a D-Day documentary on TV. I could hear the documentary as I came to in paralysis. Then I felt like I was being shocked. Sort of like the Emperor in Star Wars and something was speaking in tongues or another language I couldn't understand. I came to rather quickly but it was easily my oddest experience. 2. One night my college girlfriend and I came home from a night out. We went out to dinner and only had 2 drinks each so we weren't drunk. That night I slipped in and out of sleep paralysis maybe 10 times. A couple of times I saw a floating alien head similar to the Alienware logo. Finally I was able to get out of it and fell asleep. The next morning my girlfriend said she felt frightened in the room and she had no idea about my sleep paralysis until that day. Since being diagnosed with sleep apnea I must say I rarely experience paralysis anymore but when I first experienced it in 7th grade it was quite scary. Especially since information wasn't at my fingertips like it would be today.

Before i even knew this phenomenon I had a dream of a pale, very pale, man, with shades, a hat and a coat. He was trying to coworse me into coming with him because my friends and family really didn't like me and that he could give me things I've never had before. Such as money, respect. He showed me proof of this through a portal he opened which looked like he just split the air and there was another space behind it. In this "air window" or portal or whatever I witnessed my loved ones all talking bad about me at different times. Hurt, i went with him. In the dream i was suddenly surrounded by money and people that respected me, i was no longer a burden... But my eyes were black. They had no whites. I woke up from this weird dream to this figure... Just ... Standing there and i realized i couldn't move ... Now thinking about it, it makes sense for him to be so pale. He's from somewhere that sees almost no light if any at all. He wore shades because his eyes were all pupil to take in as much light as possible which would make sense if he is from a dark place. And I think mine were all pupil in that dream I had which is why they were black. What does it mean I have no clue lol
